Regions of Brimdenn (pt.1) |
Borderland |
|
Sometimes referred to as the Gateway to the North, Borderland lies at the very heart of Brimdenn and is probably best known for the great stone wall that spans the entire length of its northern border. This wall (Harden's Wall) literally splits Brimdenn in two, and its foundations are said to have been laid down by the dwarves in ancient times. In these latter days its walls, towers, and forts are kept in repair by the men of Borderland, and as such, guard against military raids and intrusions from the wild folk (and creatures) of the north. |
|
In addition, Borderland currently boasts the safest trade route between the Alorian and Éastwold kingdoms, and in turn sees much traffic itself. However, the region has no monarch or any great city to match those of its neighbours, and its own seat of power lies within the fortress-monastery of Calictorr upon Camella Island - home of Cardinal Stephanus and the Knights of the Chalice. |

The map pictured below shows how the southern half of Brimdenn is split into several different kingdoms and regions, most of which are summarised thereafter. |
